An Engagement Reflection Activity

During each milestone in the Roots & Shoots process, we encourage students to reflect on their own beliefs, new knowledge, and connection to their community. The activity is an example of a reflection activity that you could do with your group members during Step 1: Get Engaged.

LET’S PRACTICE

Select from one of the following four quotes by Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE. Spend 10-20 minutes reflecting on the words and draw an image that illustrates what the quote means. to you

  1. “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
  2. “The greatest danger to our future is apathy.”
  3. “Only if we understand, can we care. Only if we care, we will help. Only if we help, we shall all be saved.
  4. “The least I can do is speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.
