The Problem

My wish for this summer project is to increase awareness of the depletion of the rain forest in Borneo for the Palm Oil Industry. I would love to share this knowledge and experience with a local children's home in addition to my local Roots and Shoots group.

Our Plan

We will invite environmental educator, Amalia Fernand, to speak to our group over the summer once she returns to the states from Borneo. We will incorporate art activities, games and a practice run at scanning foods the kids bring from home with palm oil apps.
