The Problem

Support for victims of natural disasters

Our Plan

Every year, St. Johnsbury Academy hosts a non-academic day called Spring Day, which allows our diverse international student body to connect fully with one another and expand their interest and knowledge about different cultures. Throughout the day, students listen to music, eat international foods, and play games with each other. It’s truly a culture-bulding event. It also offers clubs the opportunity to incorporate fundraisers. As a new club on campus, we have no initial funding that will help us to organize and create additional fundraisers for our cause. Specifically, with this $250, we have in mind renting a teen-sized inflatable or bouncy house with water features for approximately $240.00 dollars. In past years, because the weather is often hot, having something of this sort has shown to be a high-interest event for the students and has raised a fair amount of money to allow clubs to meet their goals. More importantly, this is an activity that we believe strongly will have students connecting with each other.
