Here is how the project went:

It was wonderful, the students created different ecosystems of their choice using Computer Science animation. They chose an endangered species within that ecosystem, researched their species and then created another Computer Science animation PSA alerting humans to the reasons why these species were becoming endangered.

Through this project I/we learned:

Our students and adults in our communities learned about different ecosystems under threat. Many students advanced their thirst to researching about their ecosystems and learned how human behavior contributes to this unknowingly. Students decided to connect themselves with these issues, looking at natural habitats from different countries or places where their families were from. Many learned that certain human practices contributed to the destruction of various environments.

What I/we might change:

We might change the particular rolls different educators will contribute to various parts of the project and make this a school wide collaboration.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

Seeing the end product, the continuous product and the process were my favorite parts of the project. Students persisted with their project and took ownership of educating the NYC school community and the world about endanger species using the Computer Science coding skills. Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:

This was hard work that was switched to remote learning, while we could not control this situation, we we still able to swing the project instantaneously in another successful direction.
