The Problem
Food waste and food insecurity - we want to connect with low-income communities and schools to showcase how easy, cheap, and beneficial it is to start composting.
Our Plan
Our first step is partnering with existing community gardens to set-up compost bins and provide education on composting. Our next step would be to set-up something similar at local schools to show how just setting aside ONE day each week of their cafeteria food waste can significantly impact their waste production. We would like to start small school gardens at those schools so that they can see the full-circle picture.
