The Problem
To build a new habitat for our classroom worms and help with the amount of waste being added to the garbage each day within the classroom.
Our Plan
We are planning to help the student gain an understanding of worms and where they live. We are hoping to help the students start understanding recycling, and ways they can help the environment. We are planning to build a larger wood structure that will house our worms outside the classroom. The students will be helping to feed the worms using the scraps from mealtimes. Through this process, we are teaching the kids about how to care for the worms, but also introduce them to composting and the benefits of that.
