The Problem
As children become more disconnected with the outdoors and often have little knowledge of where food originates, we run into problems with poor eating habits and lifestyles. We want to change that and give children the opportunity to plant, manage, and investigate the way food grows and then learn easy and fun ways to incorporate those foods into their diets. We are applying for the Roots & Shoots grant to help cover the costs associated with purchasing start up plants for our garden.
