We are building a school garden, taking into the conservation ideas of permaculture. This garden will educate the public on urban food production, organic gardening, and restorative agriculture. This space will provide food and environmental values to the school that we hope will carry into the lives of our students.
We will collect plant, soil, and material donations for the construction of our project. The community will be helping by planting, growing the seeds, and maintaining the garden during the summer months. All fruit, herbs, and vegetables will be sold and given to local citizens. All proceeds will go towards other community garden beds, compost bins, and no money will be collected for profit.
