The Problem

I was inspired to start the Warm Tales program because I know what it’s like to face hard times as a kid. I believe every child deserves comfort and hope, especially during the holiday season. This holiday season, I want to remind children in hospitals that they are not alone and that people care deeply about their well-being.

Our Plan

The Warm Tales program addresses the emotional and mental health challenges faced by children who spend the holidays in hospitals due to illness, trauma, or grief. Being hospitalized during the holiday season can be isolating and disheartening for children and their families. My project seeks to bring comfort and hope to these children by delivering care packages that include handmade blankets, age-appropriate storybooks, and personalized messages of encouragement. These packages provide not only warmth and companionship but also an opportunity for families to bond over reading during challenging times.
