The Problem

My wish for this project is to prepare PreK or Kindergarten eligible children for Kindergarten. This program would be for students on the southside of Chicago. The program would focus on letters, sounds, sight words, reading, writing, play, and social emotional growth. Students would come to the program Monday thru Friday from 10 am to 2pm.

Our Plan

My program would prepare children to enter a public school setting. Students in the program would receive a boost in academics. They would receive exposure to learning that they may not receive over the summer. Students will also have the opportunity to play, learn how to play with others, and learn how to hand conflict in the right way.
