The Problem

Plastic pollution is the single leading threat to our oceans and ecosystems. By 2050 it is estimated that there will be more plastic in our ocean than seas. Every minute 15 tons of plastic waste winds up in our oceans. Following a local park clean-up, students will create a piece of art with recycled materials. The purpose of this project is to raise awareness of the problem of single-use plastics.

Our Plan

One person's trash is another person's inspiration for creation! Examples of art creations may include: 2-dimensional wall hanging, wearable jewellery, 3D sculptures of animals, artwork out of pop cans, reusable bag/wallet, etcetera.
