The Problem

The trash from park visitors litters the trails and eventually ends up in the ocean and bay. It can also harm the wildlife in the area.

Our Plan

We'd like to spend a few hours on the park trails removing litter. Join us on September 8, 2024, from 2-5 PM. We will provide gloves and trash pickers. Message us for details.

Here is how the project went:

We cleaned up the local trails and collected a total of 12 bucket loads of trash.

Through this project I/we learned:

We learned how enjoyable it is to be outside working with friends to make our community a better place.

What I/we might change:

Try to get even more volunteers to help.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

When people hiking the trails would walk over and thank us for picking up trash.

Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:

We learned that buckets are easier to work with than trash bags because the wind makes it hard to keep the trash bags open.
