The Problem

The trash from park visitors litters the trails and eventually ends up in the ocean and bay. It can also harm the wildlife in the area.

Our Plan

We'd like to spend a few hours on the park trails removing litter. Join us on July 31, 2022, from 2-5 PM. We will provide gloves and trash pickers. Message us for details.

Here is how the project went:

We filled over 10 large trash bags with litter we found along the trails.

Through this project I/we learned:

How to organize a service project. How to alert my community, organize volunteers and get the supplies needed to be successful.

What I/we might change:

We are going to schedule this as a monthly reoccurring project highlighting the positive benefits of both removing litter and getting outdoors.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

Seeing the results and meeting up with friends outdoors.

Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:

We offered a mini outdoor gathering after our event with homemade snacks.
