The Problem
Together We Can Change the World- is a project that aims to teach children that they can make a difference in the lives of countless people by doing kind acts, especially acts that are aimed to educate and improve the lives of others. Through this project, the students use the design thinking protocol to design raised garden bed prototypes using a given perimeter. The beds will be built at an orphanage in Haiti where children will be taught how to garden and the nutritional values of fruits and vegetables. We will also mirror these beds here at our school in Florida to help the students empathize with our Haitian partners. It is our hope that teaching the children at the orphanage to garden will empower them and help to build a more promising future.
