The Problem

The purpose of our R&S project is to reduce the number of tick based illness in our community where Lyme disease and other pathogenic sickness are appearing in huge numbers.

Our Plan

We plan to bring community awareness, organize events, meet with biologists and lymes disease specialists, hike/bike ride trails to learn about native plants and safe pathways, find effective plants that help to prevent tick infestation and spreading, and learn and teach about the safest ways possible to prevent bites. The community is based in central PA, next to a major university campus. We will bring together our community and create safer more effective ways to help naturally prevent the spreading of illness and faster responses for the people who aren't aware of how serious a bit infection can be
