The Problem
We wanted to increase biodiversity through planting more native tree species, as well as making an addition to an outdoor space for outdoor education.
We wanted to increase biodiversity through planting more native tree species, as well as making an addition to an outdoor space for outdoor education.
We are planting a tiny forest at the UWC Maastricht island.
It went well! We got to use the water around our school moat to plant various species of saplings in our Tiny Forest.
We learned to use water around our moat for watering, instead of using hose water which may be chemical filled and waste fresh water. We also learned how to plant saplings, and to make an outdoor educational space.
We would maybe plan how many saplings each person plants, and where they plant it so it would be more efficient and organzied.
It was planting trees and working with others to do so!
If you are near a natural water soruce, use that water instead of eg. the hose!
