Tiger Week

The Problem

To raise awareness and funds about the endangered status of the Sumatran tiger.

Our Plan

During Tiger Week, Roots and Shoots will work to raise awareness about Sumatran tigers by doing things like having a tiger cam in school and putting tiger trivia cards on the lunch tables. We also invite students to Dress-Up-as-a-Tiger on Tuesday, February 24! We hope students and faculty will join us and dress in black and orange to show support for the Sumatran tigers. Also on Tuesday, February 24 at 3:30 p.m., we will sponsor a basketball shoot-out event and do some face painting at the coaches versus eighth grade basketball game to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The WWF is working to protect the Sumatran tigers, just like us.
