The problem we want to fix is increasing the population of the monarch butterfly, and also providing a safe haven for pollinators in Niles, Illinois.
Our Plan
Planting common and swamp milkweed in the garden Harvesting the seeds and distributing them for free to the community and anyone else who wants to start a pollinator garden Collecting monarch eggs and providing a safe environment for their life cycle until the adult life stage, where they are set free Educate community members of the difference of raising garden-found eggs and how commercially bred monarch eggs produce a weaker species with diminished migratory capabilities.
