The Problem
A lot of people where we live don't understand or appreciate our local environment. We want to help people learn what makes where they live special and beautiful, so they will feel more empowered to protect it.
Our Plan
We will be propagating native plants and giving these, plus educational materials about the plants, away for free. We will knock on our neighbor\'s doors to talk to them about our project and our environment. And we will also be setting up booths at grocery stores and public venues in underserved, poorer neighborhoods to give plants away and to talk about our environment. Along with giving away free native plants, we will also be collecting email addresses, to send out monthly newsletters about important ecological events happening locally.
