The Problem
Because we have had to switch to virtual learning, some students may have a hard time grasping the material.

We will pair students who need help with a high school volunteer to tutor them in a specific subject.
It went very well. We are so grateful that we were able to help so many people and utilize the skills of so many hardworking high schoolers.
We improved our communication, graphing design, time management, and organization skills. We only had one weekend to set up our program because we wanted to be ready to help students as soon as possible.
I would add another section that not only helps with school subjects, but also fun activities such as drawing, chess, coding, or music. Many extracurriculars were also canceled, so students may be feeling bored. Having tutors who are skilled in drawing or music can take the students off their parent's hands for a little bit and allow them to exercise their skills.
My favorite part of this project was hearing from parents who signed up. Many parents were so grateful that we could help their children because homeschooling can be difficult. A few parents also sent pictures of their students being tutored.
When starting a project online, it can be difficult to promote your project. The best ways to promote are through your own social media and your parent's social media. In many cases, adults are willing to share your project on Facebook. This will help spread the word. Additionally, it always helps to have a website because it is easier to share information via a website.
