Our wish for this project is that we plan to educate 150-175 people who will be invited to attend the nutrition seminars at the after school program. This will include parents, staff and students, many who do not qualify for assistance. We would like to prepare 150 food bags that will be distributed to all after school students who will serve an estimated 300-325 people.
My volunteers will shop and deliver the food to the Afterschool program. They will also discuss good nutrition and help educate our children and parents on nutrition, advise families of avenues they can use when they have no food; shop for the food; supervise and assist with the loading and unloading of food. The children and volunteers will help set up the bags to be used to pack food; they assist the children and parents with sorting and packing the bags of food and distributing the bags of food.
