The Problem

Our wish for this project is to make people more aware of the flora and fauna in their backyards. If you have some woods in your backyard you will probably find woodpeckers, sparrows, robins and other birds, moss, ivy, many trees (obviously), and mushrooms. If you have a regular suburban backyard you will probably find ivy, tulips and other flowers, maybe a few cats, a groundhog, and lots of insects.

Our Plan

Our project will make people more aware of the flora and fauna in their backyards. My Roots and Shoots "club" is only 4 people, so we can go to 4 people backyards and document all the flora and fauna found there. In the end we will make a documentary full of photos and videos with our backyard discoveries. Also, we will learn about lots of the types of flora and fauna. We will include many facts in our documentary.
