The Problem

To enable medical students and undergraduate students to present to 5th-grade students at local K-12 schools on healthy lifestyle behaviors through hands-on lessons in anatomy and physiology.

Our Plan

We will present at 3 elementary schools this year to encourage children to preserve their health and prevent diseases by teaching them the science behind healthy lifestyle behaviors. Each school visit will consist of 4 stations, each dedicated to a different system of the body. The children will rotate between the stations, spending 1 hour at each. Through hands-on, interactive lessons in anatomy and physiology, the children will learn how unhealthy and healthy lifestyle behaviors impact each body system in a negative and positive way, respectively.
