TaylorAde Healthy Kids (THKC) Project will advocate to STOMP out Hunger. TaylorAde Healthy Kids Club will support our community wide healthy eating initiative. Please support by making donations of new boxes of healthy snacks and we are also in need of in kind donation of your company's promotional items Example: Water Bottles, reusable shopping bags, etc. Our THKC members will be responsible for promoting healthy eating habits by conducting informative, fun, healthy eating workshops weekly. By creating healthy eating posters to post around schools, and public family friendly spaces will help inform recruitment of parent and student volunteers to help raise awareness the hunger issues and encourage healthy eating habits in the East Brooklyn Community. We will offer nutritious eating workshops, exercise demonstrations and access to fresh, healthy, and affordable food.children and seniors as well provide informational resources to food pantries and food supplement centers. We are very interested in partnering with the Food Bank of NY to provide Healthy Bucks for Families in need. By partnering with the Food Bank, THKC will receive exposure through our comprehensive media campaigns, event and campaign materials, website, quarterly newsletter and monthly E-Newsletter. Food Bank For New York City offers dynamic partnership opportunities from our high profile all to help end hunger throughout the five boroughs. Food Bank For New York City, the city’s major hunger relief organization, issued a report on Wednesday which paints a stark picture of hunger across the five boroughs. The study shows that East Brooklyn has more residents skipping meals because they can’t afford to pay for food than any other borough -- 88 million meals were missed in the borough in 2012, the period studied. TaylorAde Kids Club host a Summer Annual Lemonade Stand which promotes healthy eating in the community and raises funds for different TaylorAde Kids Club initiatives and projects. TaylorAde Kids Club will study and research about the Hunger Action Network, East New York Farms as well as other relevant organizations and clubs who are passionate and dedicated to end hunger and promote food justice.
