The problem I'm trying to address is the lack of responsible pet ownership in my city. I frequently see in my city dogs who are hostile and make walking the streets a little nerve racking or for other pet owners to walk their pets. There is a also frequent case of lost pets in my city they even show up to my high school where the staff has to hope their owners can come for them or just call animal control.
I expect within 2 months to be in talks with Mayor Marquez to see if any community events can be done to spread awareness on how to properly take care of pets. The project began in January I expect it to end in early July or late June since most community members will be spending more time outdoors with their pets I would like to finish the community events before then.I will attempt to communicate with council members to see if anything can be done to increase awareness about proper responsible pet ownership. Then gather the community at these events to have workshops where information can be shared regarding nearby safe spaces for pets ,resources to vaccinate, and how to train your pets.
