The Problem
The average person uses 156 plastic bottles per year. 60 million plastic water bottles are thrown away each day in America. In South Florida, 100% os marine animals brought into our local marine life hospitals now have been found to have ingested some kind of micro plastic. The problem is HUGE, but our students are joining our community to make a change. We have banned plastic straws and styrofoam from our local beach but must continue to educate the public to make a change!
