Here is how the project went:
Our project was a success! The Sun Village Park Community is always in transition. We are getting to know the new neighbors and welcome them into our community and the various community projects we are involved in.
Through this project I/we learned:
Through this project we learned that we have very nice neighbors who just need to get to know us and trust us and what we are doing to improve the environment, especially the beautification and respect for wildlife and understanding why we need to keep the environment healthy.
What I/we might change:
Just need to have more community family helping us so they can learn to respect and appreciate the park and what it has to offer!
My/our favorite part of this project was:
Decorating the trees in the park so when people drive or walk pass the park, they know that someone loves the park and the environment!
Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:
We love Sun Village Park and have been providing a safe, clean, beautiful environment for ourselves and our community for years. This is a park that many have forgotten about and it brings tears to my eyes knowing that people just don't respect the park(s)! The Butterfly Garden is special to us because it brings the beautiful butterflies and other wildlife back to the park. We have 3 bird feeders that we maintain to feed the birds. We had to chain them down so people won't walk out of the park with them like they did in the past.
