The Problem
Last summer our organization held a book fair at the Pembroke Public Library District attended by parents and students from the Township. During this event we were able to give away over 75 new books. Our goal was to hold the event again this year but due to shelter-in-place and social distancing orders by federal, state and local governments because of COVID-19, the 2020 Summer Solstice Book Fair was canceled. With students across the country participating in distance learning potentially, until the end of the school year, we want to make sure we continue to support student’s access to reading materials during the Summer months.
