Climate change as a whole is causing our word problems, some evident and easy to fix; and some unimaginable, small things bringing up problems that break apart our world. Climate change as a whole is big, and might seem impossible to fix. Some people don’t even care that it’s happening at a drastic rate right outside their windows. Even though that it’s so big, you’re just one person, small things still add up, good and bad. The challenge of conquering climate change may be hard, but it’s not out of our grasp just yet.
Even though you’re just one person, you can change just one or two things in your life to make an impact. You don’t have to change your life drastically; just being aware of what’s happening will make a difference. Small things like turning off lights when you’re not using them, or recycling make a difference. Or if you want to go further, start actions in your community, like a program that recycles glass if your community doesn’t have that service. Tell more people about the influence of climate change. Make sure you get sustainable food and water. If you’re really into it, start a fundraiser, or donate to one. Get other people in on the action. And just remember; you might not be able to stop climate change on your own, but you are one small step in the right direction, and one step closer to a solution. No matter if you’re in the US, Canada, Europe, Africa, or anywhere else in the world; no matter what way you’re acting in, join in and stop the global problem of climate change, and bring us one step closer to a solution.
