The Problem
The problem we want to fix is the dominance of males in science, technology, engineering, and mathematic (STEM) education and career fields. The goal is to close the gender gap in said field.
Our Plan
The action we are planning is bringing awareness to females regarding the STEM field. We will be doing this through non-profit five-day educational camps with groups of young girls. The camps will consist of hands-on activities, teamwork exercises, meetings with women in STEM professions, and more. We want to continue to carry out this camp in hopes of encouraging more girls in our communities to pursue an interest in STEM and be the future of STEM.
