The Problem

To create a state of the art STEM lab including an interactive LI Sound Ecosystem in the classroom. This is where students can research and study indigenous animals that live in our waters. Students will then develop a deeper understanding of why we must protects our waters from pollutants. Our Plan

I am hoping to win a 100,000 FAB SCHOOL LAB MAKEOVER. My video needs your support for Selden Middle School on November 17th. I am in a national competition and only one of two schools in NY that are in the semi-finals. Here is the link to my application video; https://www.facebook.com/FabSchoolLabs/?sk=app_132015160493088&ref=page_internal My students have presented to Dr. Jane at the NY Science Innovators Expo and hoping all my environmental friends can support this AMAZING grant opportunity! The STEM lab I would create would help my students to build a deep love for the animals that inhabit our local waters, and we know kids will protect things that they love. This project could inspire hundreds of students in my middle school to be our next generation of environmental conservationists.
