The Problem

Our R&S project will teach inner-city children where their food comes from, how to grow their own food, and experience the joy of gardening. The garden club will be a means of scientific discovery for students to learn that food comes from beyond just the grocery store. It will also be a means for students to produce food for themselves and their families so that they can have fresh vegetables on the table, despite any economic difficulties. Students will enjoy the ability to coax seedlings from the soil and watch what they plant come to life.

Our Plan

Our R&S project will build a raised bed garden and plant vegetables.
