The Problem

An initiative to provide informational resources on the Tuscaloosa Civil Rights History Trail while providing resources to sow plant seeds with the idea that like plants, we all have similarities and differences and we all contribute to society. “Plants are different but everything they produce is for the betterment of the community. Our Plan

To provide nature backpacks that contain everything that kids need to learn about Tuscaloosa civil rights history and growing/caring for plants. Kids will be provided a map of the Tuscaloosa Civil Rights Trail, resources for parents on discussing race and racism with kids, a nature book, magnifying lens, seeds, and information on growing seeds and a how-to on making a plant pot from egg cartons,
