The Problem

How Can WE make the world a better place? How can we make our community a better place? This Science of Peace Lab project session will initiate others' projects and aim to set a lifetime of activism in motion. In our two weeks together, we will discover who and what around us is already making the world more peaceful. YOU (independently, or in a team) will follow the steps to observe, design, carry out, (and celebrate!) a small way to make the world a better place. At the end of our two weeks, you'll share your project and reflect on your experience to the group and maybe some friends we make along the way!

Our Plan

We will uncover some of your passions and help you utilize the right tools. Many of our resources will come from Roots & Shoots. You can create a project from the ground up or use some ideas or projects from the Roots and Shoots site to decide on something you want to be a part of. We will spend lots of time talking through ideas and working together on this. Your mentors will guide you through each of the four steps, and meet with you each day to discuss your progress, roadblocks, and next steps.
