The Problem
Habitat destruction is the #1 reason for biodiversity loss. We are increasing the native plant population on our campus. This will increase the flora and fauna biodiversity native to the Sonoran Desert in our area.
Our Plan
We are planting native Sonoran Desert plants on our high school campus. There is already an informational sign and a walking path for students to see the plants up close. We are expanding the area this year and adding additional native plants to the garden. Once they start fruiting, we will collect the seeds so that we can grow more plants for our students and staff to take home.
