We will talk about RENEWABLE ENERGY with the kids, focusing on wind, water, geothermal and solar. Since we live in Alabama, we have chosen SOLAR as the method to demonstrate how to harness the sun's power and use it instead of fossil fuels.
We will use 2 two liter bottles to show how the sun can heat up air inside of a bottle, one bottle will be white and one will be black, each with a balloon attached to the top. We hope that the black bottle will fill the balloon with hot air. Next we will make the SOLAR WATER PURIFICATION to purify salted and colored water. Finally we will construct a SOLAR OVEN and bake cookies in the oven.
