The Problem

All people have a complex relationship with snakes. For the children of an Indian tribal community, snakes are a daily part of life. This project wishes to facilitate knowledge exchange among the tribal children on the many benefits snakes provide to an ecosystem, and on potentially life-saving topics like proper identification, how snakes act, and treatment for envenomations.

Our Plan

An activity to explore their skills at identifying snake species. An interaction consisting of many questions, in order to learn what they know. Then an exchange of knowledge by teaching them about proper identification and treatment for envenomations.
