The Problem
To raise awareness about resource use & to ultimately assist Roger Williams Park Zoo in decreasing the volume of trash sent to the landfill.
Our Plan
We will organize a fundraising concert that will raise money to purchase a Big Belly Solar Powered Trash Compactor to be placed near the main restaurant at the Zoo. This machine will compact up to 150 gallons of trash into 32 gallons, decreasing the volume of trash sent to the landfill. It will also be wrapped with a graphic educational image.
