The Problem

The ongoing threat of plastic pollution and lack of education on single-use plastic and possible alternatives.

Our Plan

To educate people on the impact of single-use plastic and how to reduce our excessive use of it. I will create an online challenge for the month of July for people to join, in order to learn how to reduce their plastic waste as well as the impact plastic has on the environment.

Here is how the project went:

Though I did not have as many participants as last year, I would still count it as a success!

Through this project I/we learned:

The number of participants does not matter. I did, and will continue to, give 100% effort towards my project, so that even if only a few people join, they can still get the most out of it.

What I/we might change:

How much I share about my project. I think I'd like to share about it on more platforms so I'm more likely to receive interest from more than one place.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

All the amazing facts and info I was able to find and share. Also the amount of organization and planning, which was so helpful once the project was in full swing!

Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:

As a consumer, there is only so much you can do to eliminate plastic from your life, but every little bit counts. In the words of Dr. Jane Goodall, "every individual makes a difference."
