The Problem

The problem we want to fix is the growing amount of plastic waste in local parks that is unintentionally harming wildlife. Trash from weekend events and daily use often overflows due to limited waste management systems, causing plastic to enter natural areas like ponds and habitats. As a result, birds and small animals ingest or become trapped in this waste, leading to injury or death. This is not just an environmental issue, but a systems problem that continues to put wildlife at risk

Our Plan

The growing amount of plastic waste in our local parks that unintentionally harms wildlife. Trash from busy weekends and events often overflows due to limited pickup and not enough trash cans, causing plastic to spread into natural areas where animals live, eat, and move. This leads to injury, death, and the destruction of their habitat.
