The Problem

The average 10 minute shower uses 50–75 gallons of water! If you shorten your shower, you could save 25+ gallons and help to build a more sustainable future. Water is one of the most precious resources Earth gives us.

Our Plan

I am going to make a 5 minute song list that anyone can listen to when they take a shower. I will give it to my friends and encourage them to take shorter showers.

Here is how the project went:

It went really well. I got to listen to a ton of music in order to decide which songs that I wanted for each list. I made one classical, one rock, one rain forest sounds, one easy listening and one reggae. It took a lot of time to match and edit the songs to be exactly 5 minutes, but it was fun, kinda like a puzzle.

Through this project I/we learned:

I learned a lot about how long 5 minutes really is. It seems like plenty of time to take a shower and get clean!

What I/we might change:

Now that I know more about how to edit, I would not change a thing.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

I got to hear all kinds of different music and got to explore different artists from all around the world. I also found this great website called Playing for Change which supports artists all over the world.

Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:

Explore new music. There are so many types of different beats, languages, tempos and instruments from so many different cultures.
