The Problem
Dallas County has one EPA air monitor across 900+ square miles, leaving frontline neighborhoods blind to pollution. West Dallas faces PM2.5 levels 11x the county average, asthma rates 3-4x higher, and double the asthma ER visits. Families, schools, and policymakers lack the localized data needed to act.
Our Plan
Shared Skies Initiative deploys hyperlocal PM2.5 sensors at schools and community spaces in West and South Dallas, paired with a public real-time dashboard, machine-learning pollution forecasts, HEPA filtration in classrooms, youth ambassador training, and community advocacy at city council and zoning hearings to drive cleaner air and stronger protective policy.
