The Problem

Our mission with this project is to provide a basic need for some of the disadvantaged members of our community. We wanted to show Durham that our school cared by collecting food for the Durham Rescue Mission's pantry and serving lunch to the women and children that live there.

Our Plan

To begin our project we will study Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to explore the essential needs of people. Next, we will divide into groups to research each need in Maslow's pyramid- Physiological, Safety, Love & belonging, Self-Esteem and Self-Actualization. We will explore the needs of each item globally and locally. Then we will present our findings to the group and vote on which need we will focus on.
