The Problem
The benefits of our rain garden will particularly focus on the educational impact and potential to promote environmental awareness. Beyond just students, this will be a step to solve a local environmental issue of rooftop drainage. The rain garden will mitigates the erosion that is happening near the building and our sidewalk. I’m hoping when I am done some students will look at this and do a project on it. I really hope that this will get other students into science and understand the importance of civic engagement our community. This project has really helped me develop problem-solving skills. Another goal is for me to be able to teach and show students they can make a difference.
