The Problem

Knowing how to care for ourselves and our environment through gardening.

Our Plan

Students will be involved in what it means to have a plot in a community garden. Weekly gardening responsibilities will be integrated with a research topic of the week, scavenger hunts in the garden regarding different types of plants, guest speakers, art and craft activities related to gardening. Students will be stewards of our food that we will use in our lunches and donate as well to the giving garden that supports homeless people and low income families. They will work to help the community garden as well as our own plot. They will also learn about the biology behind gardening and plants.
