The Problem
The fourth grade teachers and their students, my environmental studies teacher, and I are working together with the goal of reducing plastic use on our campus.
Our Plan
The fourth graders are going to use their problem solving platform they learn in class to find solutions to various issues involving plastic use in our community. They are going to the local trash/recycling plant to learn how it works and affects the environment. Then, they will present to the high school environmental studies class. After that, we will split up into groups to find solutions to the way we use plastic at our school and in our lives at home.
