The Problem
The goal of our project is to clean up the trash surrounding our school. Recently, there was some construction work in the lot near our school, and the construction crew left behind a large amount of debris: scrap metal, plastic bags, etc. By cleaning up the trash in the nearby lot, we not only protect the younger kindergarteners who line up for fire drills in the same lot, but we also help protect the desert wildlife, creating a more aesthetic and pleasing environment for us as well.
