The Problem
Barn owl populations are estimated to have declined by over 50% since the 1980s. We want to build and monitor barn owl boxes in the Pittsburgh area to gain a better understanding of their distribution and how we can help!!!
Our Plan
The kids involved in our classes at the zoo want to build barn owl boxes to help their populations! By providing barn owls a place to live, we can better understand where they are located so we can map it and provide this information to other locals including scientists!
