The Problem

There is a direct need for food services with the target population plagued with issues of food insecurity, homelessness, and poverty. We would like to help individuals and families residing in Broward County that are facing hardships. We will be making fresh PB&J sandwiches to be deliver to individuals after they have attended breakfast at any of the shelters and communities kitchens in the area.

Our Plan

The club has recognized the need to help people that suffer from food insecurity, and that is struggling to obtain basic necessities. The club will be making Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches in a regular basis as part of the solution of this issue. The sandwiches will be distribute at the kitchens in the area after the people have eaten to be used as snack or next meal of the day. During the project the children will be learning about terms such as homeless,Shelter,Poverty, Poverty Level and Food Insecurity.
