The Problem
Our school community faces a lack of access to hands-on learning opportunities that connect students to the environment, food systems, and sustainability practices. Many students have limited understanding of where their food comes from, how it grows, and the importance of caring for the planet. This disconnect contributes to poor dietary habits, limited environmental awareness, and fewer opportunities for experiential learning in science and ecology. By creating a school garden, we aim to address this gap, fostering curiosity, healthy habits, and environmental stewardship while enriching the curriculum with practical, engaging activities.
